Artist's Comments

Forgot about uploading this, so I'll put it up now.

I have lost so much respect for so many artists who have their work stolen and then proceed to do any or all of the following:

1) Write a long ranty journal that gives links to the stolen work. There's nothing wrong with a simple: "Hey, my art's being uploaded by someone other than myself without permission, and, just so you know, these are my only galleries."

2) Send hate mail or flame the "artist" who used their art without permission or encourage other people to flame them.

3) Call out their hordes of fans to go and do battle against this mighty evil. Seriously, guys, involving five hundred teenagers does not help matters.

4) Post links to the stolen work. Sometimes this is strictly necessary, most of the time it isn't.

5) Complaining. Whining about your stuff being posted somewhere else is a lot less effective than writing a formal letter of complaint to the administrator or moderator of the site.

So, feel free to put this in your journal/shoutboard/whatever. Please leave a comment if you do use it, I like to sit and look at my stuff on other people's pages. ;)

Much thanks to $zilla774 for the very useful stamp template. :)

Amen! Honestly...some artists just don't know when to be adults. :S

You have to SUFFER for your art! Thats why they call it PAIN...ting...

If right was wrong, and wrong was right...then potatoes would be evil and bunnies would be good. Wait...

For you I'll wait
Til kingdom come
Until my day
My day is done
Just say you'll come
And set me free
Just say you'll wait
You'll wait for me

The fact that all this is happening over T3H INT3RN3TS!!! doesn't help either.

There's a time also for maturity and a simple "You stole my work, you MORON, maturity was already lacking when YOU stole the work."

Honestly, we wouldn't need these things if people wouldn't steal art in the first place.

Oh, I know it. -.- Maturity isn't exactly lacking, it's been replaced by desperation.

Using in my journal. Thanks for at lest attempting to curb the hordes of raving art-theft lunatics.
